I won't post it on my site (I have too many meme's already) but I'll leave a comment here every now and then. Thanks for starting this.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-762854533780324544.post-89196863690439390662009-02-26T19:38:00.000-05:002009-02-26T19:38:00.000-05:00Just to clarify - I love facebook! It was just getting to be too much of a time waster, so I decided it would be a great thing to give up. In the past, I've given up chocolate - HARD! But I haven't had chocolate in over 6 months, so I opted to not do a food item. I've given up alcohol, which didn't hurt, since I don't drink much, and I once gave up beef. A little difficult, but not too bad. There are just too many food things I can't have due to nursing, so I had to get more creative. I've been wanting to get back to my quality quiet times, so I thought this would be a good one. Plus, whenever I thought about giving it up, I had that whiney voice in my head saying, "but I don't want to..." Perfect! I want to give up something that I will feel. I want to every day be reminded. So my hope is that every time I go for the lap top, I pause and pray or read first. I expect to be praying and reading A lot.

Also - If I feel led to give it up completely, I definitely will. I think a better lesson for me though, is to learn the skill of moderation.

Oh - and Jen - when I really set my mind to something - I'm fairly immovable, so I don't feel the need to deactivate. I took it off my bookmarks bar and know that I will stick with it. Especially since I've shouted it from the mountain tops!!Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14738301527831763073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-762854533780324544.post-9745304311908799332009-02-26T11:02:00.000-05:002009-02-26T11:02:00.000-05:00Hi friend,Let me ponder the proverbs challenge so ...Hi friend,

Let me ponder the proverbs challenge so I can commit for sure. Also, funny you mention Facebook because (and i may have told you this), I got off several months ago for similar reasons..it was doing nothing to encourage my spirit. It's important you recognize where your struggles are and act accordingly..and if you think FB might be a piece, I'd challenge you to give it the boot altogether (I can't believe I publicly posted that!)

Love you..Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08513255999750535348noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-762854533780324544.post-6370936563168461592009-02-26T10:30:00.000-05:002009-02-26T10:30:00.000-05:00I'm reading, DUH! At least that's been my experience and I'll talk with you about that more later...but seriously!~jen~https://www.blogger.com/profile/17362627642145560304noreply@blogger.com
